The dairy farmers cooperative in France forcasted decrease in milk deliveries by 11% in coming years. This is mainly due to the productivity per cow is stabilizing and the increase in herd size is stalling. At the same time, some farms are closing down. The lack of manpower is becoming a brake on growth. The number of dairy herds could decline by 15% by 2025, and the conflict in Ukraine has only amplified the raw material crisis that livestock farms are experiencing. The profitability of the farms is being severely affected.
