The peanut price in China has been steadily rising. There are three main factors that drive the rising price of peanuts. First, Usually, the season for peanuts in China is right after Chineses Lunar Year holidays; after the holiday the price tends to have a rising trend. Second, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia affected the Chinese currency RMB to upvaluation sharply, which resulted in high demand for exporting peanuts. Third, more incidents and reports from COVID 19 in Shandong region have affected peanut production in general. These factors put together have affected the peanut price to continue rising.
