Frozen Swordfish (Xiphias gladius) in the Iberian market has declined in price over the past weeks/month, with rates dropping below USD 6.55/kg (EUR 6/kg) on the Spanish market. The main supply has been from fishing line vessels operating along the North African coast, including the Canary Islands. In response to the falling prices, buyers and importers are adopting a cautious approach by refraining from making new purchases, anticipating a potential further decrease in prices for this product.
