To improve the national production output of beef and milk in Indonesia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia is planning on running a major project of cow farming corporation in Subang regency in the West Java province. This region is chosen as there are adequate plantation lands available and the weather in this province that is highly supportive of the raising cows. The early stage of this project with the local farmers will begin in September 2020 with around 300 cows to start with. Aside from the local variety, this project would also produce some imported varieties such as Belgian blue cow and limousin which would be imported from Australia and New Zealand in August 2020.
