The permitted import volume of milk whey in Russia may be reduced

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to reduce the permitted volume of dry milk imports with a demineralization level of 90% (SDS-90) from countries under the food embargo.
In 2020, the import of whey intended to produce baby milk powder could not exceed 3KTM. If the initiative of the department is approved in 2021, import volume will be further limited to 2KMT. The drafted resolution regarding this action is posted on the portal draft regulatory legal acts.
