The price of the Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) products shows an increasing trend in Indonesia, although it is still low compared to the prices in 2021. In 2022, from semester 1, the prices plunged by 70%-80% due to export constraints to China. Porang prices started to rise in the second half of 2022 when exports to China resumed. However, until 2023, the price has not returned to its original level. Porang's price is expected to remain low this 2023, at around 60% of its maximum price from two years ago, according to farmers and producers.
