Turkish Trade Ministry had reached an agreement with Chinese authorities earlier in the year, opening the road for Turkish dairy products to be exported to China.

After this agreement, Turkish exporters have started working tirelessly to enter into the Chinese market and their effort finally started to bear fruits. Whey exports have started from Karaman, Turkey to China, with the first shipment being sent in August and the second shipment being sent in October. The first whey order was 100 tons and the exporters hope that it is the beginning of many other dairy product transactions between two countries.
