As of November 09, 2023, Huangdao Port in China reports a sesame seed inventory of 154.10 thousand metric tons (mt), showing a 25.79% month-on-month (MoM) increase and 23.67% year-on-year (YoY) increase, due to off-season demand and a reduction in import volume. Despite the rising inventory, traders are reluctant to lower prices given the high sourcing cost. During W45, white sesame prices were increased slightly due to low supply. The prices of mixed and black seeds were stable. As Pakistan's seed entry comes to a close, it is expected that the current uptrend of inventory will cease in the coming weeks.
