Mexico: Exports of meat, livestock and dairy products exceeded 427 million dollars in 2021

As Fedegán had predicted, livestock exports in 2021 exceeded USD 400 million, and in fact were 50.6% higher than those registered in 2020. Those of meat and offal doubled those of the previous year, and those of dairy were the highest since 2013. While agricultural exports closed with sales of USD 9,418 million and a growth of 19.9%, as revealed by the Ministry of Agriculture, livestock exports also reached a record, totaling USD 427.4 million. This is a 50.6% increase from the $283.8 million of total 2020 meat, livestock and dairy shipments, equivalent to $143.6 million, as well as 201.7% more than the $141 .7 million obtained in 2019, a difference of USD 285.7 million. Meat and offal 2021 was a record year for beef exports according to statistics from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) compiled by the Office of Planning and Economic Studies of Fedegán-FNG.
