Brazil gains from US-China trade war, increases its cotton market share in China

The US-China trade war seems to have benefited Brazil's cotton exports which stand around 527 KMT for the current year.
China is the largest cotton importer in the world and the country is expected to import a total of 1.8 million tons of cotton by the end of 2020.
With its exports significantly increasing, Brazil is reported to also have secured an increase in market share by 30% in China compared to last year.
On the other hand, exports from other countries are reported to have significantly decreased, such as Uzbekistan by 73%, Kazakhstan by 46%, Australia by 60%, India by almost 60% and Greece by almost 70%.
