Bulgarian apricot growers are unhappy about the fact that their trees had been badly hit back in March earlier this year by unexpected frosts obstructing the fruits to grow.
Bulgarian apricot is used for consumption as a fresh fruit, it is processed as frozen and canned in syrup as well as being used as a raw material for alcohol making.
It appears that all businesses using the apricot as an ingredient or main product, are not going to have sufficient stocks of apricots.
