UAE dry fruit and nut importers are experiencing a supply bottleneck due to several border closures and ports congestion in the US, India, and Iran caused by the spread of COVID-19. This raises concerns for maintaining their strategic supply. Especially as local demand and reexports to Saudi Arabia and Jordan are booming. Most international borders in the region remain open for import too.
