Although not as popular as other tropical fruits from Indonesia, rambutan still has an economic value in the overseas market. One country that has been regularly importing this fruit is Saudi Arabia, with an import value of around 250 Kg/month. This trade has been made possible with the help of Indonesia's trading attache in Saudi Arabia and the existence of an Indonesian community in the country. Despite the relatively small order quantity, several rambutan suppliers in Indonesia believe that it is still an excellent opportunity to introduce this fruit variety that could potentially open more business opportunities in the future.
