Apricot harvest has come to an end in the Mut district of Mersin where apricots are grown for fresh consumption. The production area in the district is around 6,300 hectares and the production yield is realized as 110 kmt this season.
The growers were also able to export significant volumes to Romania, Russia, Ukraine in addition to the Middle East and Europe. The export volume was around 55 kmt this season and the farm gate prices were around 2 USD per kg on average.
