The peak harvest season of jackfruit in Indonesia lasts from November to February every year in producing regions such as East Java, Central Java, and Riau. During this harvest period, the price tends to be lower as the supply of jackfruits in the traditional and modern markets will be higher than usual. A successful harvest season can usually supply the national market with around 200-250 MT of fresh jackfruit every month. The harvest season is also viewed as an excellent opportunity for jackfruit chip manufacturers to stock up on their inventory when the price is lower.
