The Myanmar government has set up a 100-billion-kyat COVID-19 fund for local small-medium businesses, including farming, manufacturing, and hotel industries. The fund will be increased up to 500-billion-kyat within this year if necessary. Thus, farmers and food processors are able to continue growing food products, operations, production and supply for the needed market at minimum price. As the government will focus on the food security of the local people, the price trend of all food products will be stable throughout 2020.
