In 2023, in India there has been a significant decrease in the overall yield and supply of Alphonso mangoes compared to 2022, amounting to approximately 20-25% due to a reduced fruit setting. On a positive note, the quality of the crop remains excellent as there were no rainfalls before the harvest.
From July onwards, there is an anticipated increase of 15-20% in the price of Alphonso mango pulp compared to 2022. This price increase is due to the reduced crop size and heightened demand in the fresh market, particularly during May this season.
