Due to the political situation in Myanmar, the process of export, customs clearance, certification, and banking becomes very slow, and sometimes, it is unpredictable. As Myanmar has a long border with India, some exporters prefer to export across the border from mid-March. The major product traded at the Myanmar-India border is the areca nut as it has more value of money and a stronger market.
