Some poultry producers believe the turkey price will be 20-30% higher this November in the United States. The increasing prices are attributed to high feed, electricity, and gas costs, in addition to increased expenses on HPAI (Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza) prevention measures. In W41, turkey demand is on the rise as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, and turkey is the main dish. Turkey prices reached record high values on September 3rd, 2022, with Frozen Grade A, whole young hen, 8-16lbs at USD 1.72/lb, representing a 29% YoY rise from the USD 1.44/lb in 2021.
