French alcohol exports in 2020 is a year to forget

2020 has been the worst year for French alcohol exports. 1 billion euros less than the previous year on the exports. There are various reasons, which are: Trump taxes, covid 19. restaurants closures, Chinese consumption decrease.

Covid 19 surged right before the Chinese new year, duty-free losses because of the airport reduced traffic, as China / Hong Kong and Japan represent almost 20% of the FR alcohol exports. If we add to that the US Trump taxes, 2020 is definitely a year to forget for the French wine sector.
