Ukrainian farmers sell beets at $0.15-0.22/kg(from farms), which is 25% cheaper on average than a week earlier. The price of carrots is $0.17-0.30/kg (from farms), which is on average 29% lower than last week. Thanks to good weather conditions helping to harvest the crop, additional supply of carrots and beets has been produced, eventually leading to market development. Traders and retailers are ready to buy only small ones, explaining their decision by the extremely low rates of retail sales, as well as the rather limited sales period of carrots and beets. This makes additional pressure on prices.
