In 2024, drought severely impacted fruit production in Coquimbo, Chile, leading to a 24% year-on-year (YoY) drop in export volume. However, higher prices helped stabilize income, with total fruit export revenue reaching USD 419 million, down 16% YoY. Grape exports fell by 35%, but strong demand kept their value steady at USD 163 million. The industry adapts to climate and water challenges through the Systems Approach protocol for grapes, improved irrigation, and diversification strategies.
