During 2023, a total of 311 Peruvian companies exported 597,538 metric tons (mt) of Hass avocados, valued at USD 259.6 million. The highest avocado exports were from Apr-23 to Aug-23. The main avocado-producing regions in Peru are La Libertad, Lima, Lambayeque, Ica, Áncash, and Piura. The Netherlands was the top importing country for Peruvian avocados, receiving 190,113 mt, followed by Spain with 117,513 mt, the United States (US) with 75,314 mt, Chile with 71,374 mt, the United Kingdom (UK) with 45,201 mt, and China with 38,835 mt. Other significant buyers include Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Russia, Italy, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Morocco.
