Hungary has imposed restrictions on exporting cereals to EU countries to secure its internal needs and limit the effects of price increases. The restriction will put a repercussion on the Italian milling industry, which will no longer be able to guarantee the production of soft wheat flours demanded in the market. Italy imports nearly 30% of its soft wheat needs from Hungary.
