Increase in the Russian demand for Peruvian products

During the first half of 2020, Peruvian fruit shipments to Russia grew and allowed the country to position itself as the thirteenth supplier. Russian fruit imports totaled US $ 2,738 million for the first semester, showing a +6.7% growth compared to the same period 2019. Of that total, US $ 74 million, (2.7% share) was provided by Peru, This is +27.7% higher than the one observed during the same period of the year before.

The Peruvian offer of fruit is mainly made up of six products: mango (27% share), avocado (25% share), pomegranate (22% share), grape (18% share), blueberry ( 5% share) and mandarin (4% share).
