Iran will be building new silos for wheat storage in the Eastern part of the country. The storage capacity of the new silos will be up to 100 KMT of wheat.
The country has allocated a budget of over $19 million for this wheat storage project and there's another project for additional wheat storage silos going underway in the northern part of Iran with a capacity of up to 30 KMT.
Iran is investing in new silos in order to secure sufficient quantities of wheat to avoid any shortages or price fluctuations as most of the wheat is imported.
