Iran's milk and dairy industry grows to place the country as a major producer in the Middle East

Iran produces around 7 million tons of cow milk annually and exports around 450 KMT as dairy products generating over $770 million from export sales.
According to the Iranian Customs Administration, the country has exported over 152 KMT of dairy products during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 20-July 21) and generated over $153 million.
The main export destinations for Iranian dairy products are Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Japan, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
