Currently, California is harvesting new varieties of plums that are being supplied until December 2021 and a few weeks throughout January 2022. Plums in California are typically harvested between late May through September, but with these new varieties, growers are expecting to increase the harvest season and to have an important market share on the stone fruit commodities. Also, these new varieties are very sweet, which makes them more appealing to consumers.
