Norway's Fresh Salmon Exports Surged by 21.3% WoW in W9, Reaching New Price High

During W9, Norway's export of fresh salmon witnessed a significant surge of 21.3% week-on-week (WoW), particularly in the 3 to 6 kilogram (kg) Superior Salmon category, resulting in an additional 2,272 metric tons (mt) of fish exported. Despite the surge in export volume, prices saw a slight 0.66% uptick week-on-week (WoW), reaching USD 11.50/kg FCA Oslo, marking a new yearly high. The recent decrease in exported volume over the past five weeks, coupled with increased consumption during this period, likely contributed to the observed price peak.
