During W10, Norway witnessed a significant surge in the export of fresh salmon, particularly in the 3-6kg Superior Salmon category, with a notable increase of 11.80% week-on-week (WoW), resulting in an additional 1,528 metric tons (mt) of fish exported. However, this surge coincided with a price drop of 4.36% WoW, bringing the price down to USD 10.95/kg FCA Oslo. Despite the rise in export volume, sustained pressure from lower production levels over the past five weeks is driving prices to levels above USD 10.90/kg, with expectations that these prices will persist until the end of May-24.
