Increasing oil prices have decreased exporters’ profit. The logical outcome of all these developments directly lead to the increase in the selling price of mangoes and a possibility of losing of market share. The current selling price is no longer realistic and maintaining it would mean incurring losses to producers. This would further affect smaller Mindanao farmers who rely on mangoes for their livelihood.
