Blackberry production in the US occurs on the West Coast with Oregon having the largest output by far. The vast majority of blackberries from the state are frozen or used in other forms of processing while the remaining fresh supply is typically sold regionally as packers prefer not to ship the fruit given its highly perishable nature. Mexico is the leading supplier of fresh blackberries to the US market.
