One of the Portuguese companies was established in 2016 to sell pies made of the famous Portuguese almonds. The success was so unexpected that they increased their portfolio with some ice cream flavors, and in 2021 they launched some dairy-free products.

One of the common substitutes for dairy derivatives is coconut milk because it is very nutritious and suitable for diets and vegans. The coconut milk powder UHT is a high-temperature process capable of killing all harmful bacteria while retaining the maximum nutrients natural flavor of the coconut milk. In 2019 the world market size for coconut milk powder was valued at USD 52.9 million.
