Spanish meat sector represents nearly 23% of whole agricultural sector

The Spanish meat sector has reached €28.8 billion in sales this year, which represent 22.6% of the total agricultural sector in the country. This milestone has placed the sector in fourth place regarding share of the market.

The sector employs more than 97,000 workers, and it is an important lifeline for rural economies, where most farms are located.
