The Spanish wine sector exported a total of EUR 24.2 million to Russia in 2021 between wines, grape musts and juices, in addition to the EUR 16.2 million sold in Ukraine. Spain shows two radically different trends, the first one is that its sales to Russia have been below 30 million liters for 2 years, far from the 87 million of 2019 and 200 million of the 2006 record, as a result of the new wine law in Russia that restricted bulk purchases in 2020. Spanish exports to Ukraine, meanwhile, have been growing strongly since 2015. Musts, still and sparkling wines are the main products that Spain sells to Russia, while musts, bottled wines, but also in bulk are the main categories sold to Ukraine.
