The government-mandated halt on prawn fishing imposed in October 2020 for the duration of 5 months, is officially ending by 31 March 2021. The closed period on prawn fishing was imposed under their programme of sustainable fishing practices, with the goal of replenishing the marine life on the Mozambican shallow and deep-sea waters. Suppliers are now ready to launch their vessels to replenish their own prawn & shrimp stock by early April
