Due to global instability and inflation, there is a decreasing demand for pangasius products, leading to challenges in export activities and a large inventory. Pangasius's export turnover in 2023 is estimated to be USD 1.8 billion, a 25% year-over-year (YoY) decrease. In 2023, Vietnamese pangasius import markets are experiencing a decline, with China down nearly 22% YoY, the United States (US) down more than 53% YoY, and the European Union (EU) decreasing by more than 17% YoY.
