The Philippines’ Department of Agriculture (DA) issued a temporary ban on poultry importation from Italy and Nova Scotia, Canada. The increasing case of the avian virus is the reason for the ban. The order was issued this March 2022 for the ban to be effective immediately. All shipments before the official communication of the order to the Canadian and Italian authorities will be allowed under the condition that the products were slaughtered or produced before 16 January 2022 and 4 October 2021, respectively.
