The 2022 Spanish grape campaign is already in its final stretch. The first shipments of counter-season grapes from Latin America have already arrived on the domestic market in W49. The campaign of the Red Globe, a seeded red grape variety, is already over in Spain, and the majority of the remaining grape production is focused on the Aledo variety, which is a white grape with seeds and is in high demand in Spain at the end of the year. This is due to the Spanish tradition of eating grapes during the New Year's Eve chimes, with each person consuming approximately 12 grapes. In W49, the price is around USD 2.10/kg EXW Spain, stable and expected to rise in the coming weeks due to increased demand.
