Due to the Ukraine war, in the Netherlands, all containers destined to Russia are temporarily blocked. From South America, suppliers ask whether Dutch can take over containers with pomegranates, pears, and other products destined for Russia. Russia, a large buyer of citrus from Egypt, will probably disappear here at this time of the season. The result is that imported fruit will flood the market, and prices will fall.
