Up to 30% increase in pistachio production output expected in Iran

Iranian pistachio producers are in expectation to have a good production yield of pistachio by the end of the fiscal year, by March 2021. Last year the country had a total production output of 175 KMT however, this year is expected to be prolific and to have an output of up to 230 KMT. Despite the optimistic expectation of good yield, pistachio exporters are concerned that the US sanctions will further impede the pistachio trade in the country and that the demand for Iranian pistachio will be lower, due to concerns about financial transactions.
