The US has requested the International Trade Commission to monitor and investigate strawberry imports into the country to evaluate the effect it has had on domestic growers. The investigation comes after growers, particularly in Florida and Georgia, legislators, and industry reported to the USDA that imports are limiting domestic market access and pricing for their crops. A similar investigation was launched by US blueberry growers earlier this year.
