The Verna lemon campaign in Spain commenced, and the initial product shortage predictions are coming true. Production loss of between 30-50% is now expected compared to 2022 due to loss of the flowers on the trees caused by the heat waves and drought in 2022. This has caused market prices to vary from the Primofiori variety to Verna by around 70%, with the first prices for available quantities of Verna being around USD 1.48/kg EXW Spain.
