Vietnam's Seafood Exports Surge in H1-24

From Jan-24 to Jun-24, Vietnam's seafood exports to most major markets increased compared to the same period in 2023, except for exports to Japan, which decreased by 1.4% year-on-year (YoY), Thailand, which decreased by 16.1% YoY, and Hong Kong, which decreased by 8.8% YoY. Specifically, in H1-24, seafood exports to the United States (US) reached USD 733 million, an increase of 9% YoY; exports to China reached USD 766 million, a 7% YoY increase. Notably, Vietnam's seafood exports to Canada and Russia saw significant growth, increasing by 37.3% YoY and 105.5% YoY, respectively.
