The Xinjiang Province of China, which produces type 185 walnuts, has been under lockdown since August. As a result, walnuts from Xinjiang could not be transported to the seaport by exporters and traders. Even though Chinese-type 185 walnuts are in demand in Turkey, most exporters are unable to supply clients unless they were exported before the lockdown. In Tianjin, the W44 FOB price is at USD 2050/MT for 30mm+ in shell type 185 walnut. For Turkish buyers, the same product is being offered at USD 2390/MT CFR Mersin for premium quality. Ordinary quality is being offered at around USD 2300/MT CFR Mersin.
