Drought is slowing down onion harvesting in some areas, leading to limited supply and rigid prices at the producer level. Export demand has increased, with Africa emerging as a major buyer, particularly Senegal, which has a high interest in Dutch onion exports due to low own stocks. Prices for large-sized onions are around EUR 65.00/100 kg, while unsorted onions from the field cost EUR 37.50-45.00/100 kg last week.
