South Korea has experienced a significant increase in the prices of duck production, eggs, and broilers due to an avian influenza (AI) outbreak. The price of duck production has surged by 44.3% from 1,406 won per kg to 2,29 won per kg, and egg prices have risen by 3.9% from 1,154 won to 1,199 won. The inventory of broilers has also increased by 41.4% from the average of 14.67 million birds. Despite these increases, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food assures that the domestic supply is sufficient and that they will closely monitor the situation to prevent any anxiety.
