As of May 2021 in Tajikistan, over 920 tons of greenhouse vegetables, including 534.6 tons of tomatoes, 102.4 tons of cucumbers, and 283 tons of other vegetables, have been harvested across approximately 86 hectares of greenhouse space. These vegetables were planted on 85.1 hectares of greenhouse tunnels, with tomatoes occupying 53.2 hectares, cucumbers 15 hectares, and the remaining space dedicated to other vegetable crops. The cost of tomatoes in central Tajikistan's markets varies between 15 to 20 somoni per kilogram, depending on the variety.
