A dried apricot report has been published by Turgut Özal University in Malatya.

The Malatya Turgut Özal University Apricot and Apricot Products Development Application and Research Center published the Dried Apricot Foreign Trade Report for August 2025. The report includes information about the dried apricot sector, which is the locomotive sector of the Malatya economy, for August 2025 and the first eight months of the year. The report, which also analyzes statistics covering the January-August period, indicates that exports in August decreased by 61 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, falling to 2,800 tons. Despite the unit export price rising by approximately $2.5 to $7.43 compared to the same month of the previous year, due to the decrease in export volume, the income of approximately $37 million achieved in the same month of the previous year declined to $21 million this year.
