In the first 10 months of 2022, Kazakhstani livestock breeders saw a slight increase in meat production by 0.5% compared to the same period in the previous year, totaling 948.5 thousand tons. This growth was primarily driven by a 4.8% increase in horse meat production and a 2.9% rise in poultry meat production. The country's meat exports reached 29.7 thousand tons, generating $1 million, with the majority being beef, while imports were limited to 110 thousand tons of various meats, predominantly chicken.
